Brief overview of the selection process
Positioning of the prize
A prize for successful researchers with exceptional potential.
The ‘typical’ winner of the Marcel Benoist Prize is an internationally renowned Swiss scientist or a scientist of foreign origin living in Switzerland whose work stands out for its excellence, originality, innovation and impact. The prize is awarded to researchers who already have a well-established reputation and whose work shows further potential.
The Marcel Benoist Prize is open to all disciplines.
The Marcel Benoist Foundation would particularly welcome nominations of women as well as researchers from the field of humanities and social science.
Resubmission of a previous nomination: it is possible to nominate a person again the following year (simplified process, see document entitled, ‘Submission of Nominations and Selection Process’, Chapter 4.4).
Otto Naegeli Prize laureates may now also be nominated (previous restriction has been lifted).
10 March 2017: deadline for submission of nominations
