Ted Turlings – The biologist who decodes the plants’ fragrant cry for help

A Dutch researcher at the University of Neuchâtel has discovered how corn plants specifically attract wasps and nematodes that attack pests eating their leaves and roots. His work paved the way for new methods in sustainable agriculture that use natural interactions to greatly reduce the use of pesticides against pests.
